Rome, 11th March 2011 – Neomobile, the global mobile media group, announces today the acquisition of Onebip, the leading mobile payment provider for online game publishers, social networks and web merchants.

The acquisition will create one of the Top 3 mobile commerce players in Europe.

The state of the art technology developed by Onebip coupled with Neomobile remarkable relationships with the mobile carriers especially in key European and LatAm markets, will deliver the best value to international merchants in terms of coverage and service quality.

Onebip, founded in 2005 and with offices in Italy, UK and Serbia, offers game publishers, social networks and other online merchants a user friendly mobile payment solution to monetize their digital goods and services. Consumers (more than 2 million accounts as of today) can make online payments through the mobile carrier billing as a powerful and simple alternative to the credit card or other payment options.

Since inception, Neomobile has been pursuing a growth strategy based on both organic and acquisition opportunities. This deal, only a few months after the Zero9 deal completion, confirms the ability in scouting and executing acquisitions with a very strong strategic fit that complements Neomobile product portfolio.

Neomobile retail revenue jumped in 2010 well above €100 mln with net revenue of €61 mln. In 2010 the m-commerce business unit achieved an impressive +500% vs. 2009 and is expected to grow another +200% in 2011, fueled by both organic growth and the integration of Onebip.

According to consulting firm Juniper Research, the value of mobile commerce market, including digital and physical goods, money transfers and NFC will reach $630bn by 2014, up from $170bn in 2010. The digital goods segment accounted for nearly half of the market in 2010 and is expected to reach $ 250bn in 2014.

The next stage of growth will be driven also by the mobile commerce for physical goods.

By covering end to end the value chain from the Merchant to the Mobile Carrier, Neomobile is now positioned as one of the most competitive players in this fast-growing segment of the industry.

As part of the Neomobile Group, Onebip will continue offering exceptional mobile payment services and providing partners with additional benefits in service offering, geographical reach and commercial terms.

Over the next months the two companies will be working together to implement enhancements in a series of key areas, which will be reversed to all the markets best merchants.

Financial details on the transaction were not disclosed. The two Onebip founders remain on board in Neomobile Group.
