Neomobile revenues up 60% in Q1 2010

The D2C global leader reports outstanding growth YoY in 2010 and announces ambitious plan

Rome, June 21, 2010 – Neomobile, the leading Italian Mobile Entertainment Group, announced today a great boost up in its business. The company has been over the past years one of the fastest growing and successful players in its sector.

In the first quarter of 2010 Neomobile posted a 60% revenue increase compared to Q1 2009 and is on track to deliver the 2010 target of above €100 million in revenues generated in partnership with Mobile Operators.

Neomobile’s positive performance so far has been driven by two main streams of business growth.

On one side, the development of the core D2C business, with significant market shares gained in Spain and Brazil, while confirming its leadership in the Italian domestic market. D2C services in Mexico, France and India were also launched, delivering a successful start.

In addition, Neomobile launched a new B2B2C initiative designed to generate a stream of mobile premium business for partners including web companies, communities, application stores and browsing games for social network. This new business segment has proven to be very successful in the last 9 months and will continue growing at an accelerated pace.

The company and its shareholders are very pleased with the sales trend over the past months and optimistic about the future. Neomobile’s main shareholders, private equity funds BlueGem Capital Partners and Montepaschi Venture are fully confident in Neomobile’s growth and committed to support the existing management team. Neomobile is also eyeing acquisitions in Brazil and India.

“All the hard work done in a tough year such as 2009 is now producing the results we were expecting. We aim to keep on growing in the next quarters, driven by the further development of the D2C markets we entered, the strengthening of the B2B2C offering and the launch in the near future of new business lines” said Gianluca D’Agostino, CEO of Neomobile. “We are currently scouting business initiatives, alone or in partnership, in the mobile payment and mobile gaming space”.

Gianluca D’Agostino will take part at the prestigious MEF CEO Summit and as a speaker at the MEM 2010, in London, 21-22 June.
